A portable ministry that started earlier this year will be holding “reach out events” across St. Lawrence County in the coming months.

New Beginnings Ministry INRI is “seeking to bring healing and restoration of hurting, fallen away Christians to body fellowship.”

“We are a new organization started this year to address the needs of hurting souls by us people who have been hurt also,” said Guy Calandra of the ministry.

The first “reach out” will be in Ogdensburg at the Dobisky Center at 6 p.m. on Sept. 16. Other meetings at the center are set for Oct. 21 and Nov. 17.

Events in Potsdam are planned at the Town of Potsdam Community Room, 18 Elm St. on Sept. 23, Oct. 22 and Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. Use the back parking lot entrance.

In Massena, gatherings will take place at the Massena at the Chamber of Commerce, 16 Church St., at 6 p.m. on Sept. 18, Oct. 14 and Nov. 19.

“We have no program but one, helping the fallen into or back into relationship with Christ and His body,” Calandra said. “We are not seeking membership … we are like a halfway house to help God's children return to fellowship. We seek no membership. We are offering a place of restorative worship for the tired soul no matter what denomination they fell from, Catholic or Protestant. We are here apart from the church to once again enable all to be joined to the church.”

Calandra says the restorative worship will consist of praise through song, prayer, reading of scripture holy communion, through teaching God's word, and praise to anyone who would like to call for anointing with oil for any type of healing they desire God to deal with.
