Authorities have security camera photos of three people and an SUV, all suspected of being involved in thefts from the Massena and Potsdam Walmarts Monday evening a little more than an hour apart.
They are also suspected in other thefts from the Walmart in Malone last week.
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and the Massena Police Department are conducting a joint investigation.
At about 6:45 p.m. Monday, three people, one male and two females, entered the Massena Walmart and stole several tablets from the electronics department valued at over $4,000 and left the store. They left in a light colored Chevrolet/GMC suburban.
At approximately 7:50 p.m. the same three individuals entered the Potsdam Walmart where they stole numerous cellular phones valued at over $20,000 from the electronics division and then left the store, a press release from the Sheriff’s Department said.
Those two incidents might be associated with a similar larceny last Thursday of tablets valued at over $4,000.
The Sheriff’s Department is asking the public if they have any information on the above larcenies to call the Detective Division at 379-2360.
