Village police say a Massena man is jailed on weapons and drug charges after he was allegedly found with each during a traffic stop.
Douglas M. Monroe, 31, of Grove Street is charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felony, and misdemeanor counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument.
Police said he was pulled over around 10:16 p.m. Thursday on Water Street.
He was allegedly found with a double-edged dagger in the vehicle, and a baggie of heroin and a hypodermic needle on his person, police said.
Monroe was arraigned in Massena court by Justice Patrick Serguson and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $2,000 bail or $4,000 bond, police said.
