MASSENA -- Village police say a New Jersey man is facing federal drug charges after he was allegedly caught with $30,000 worth of crack and heroin on Tuesday afternoon.
Malik Jones, 25, of 48 Rutgers Ave., Jersey City was arrested and turned over to federal Border Enforcement Security Team (BEST) agents for federal prosecution through the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Plattsburgh.
Police said around 11:25 a.m. on Willow Street, they stopped a vehicle operated by Michelle D. McKenna, 43, of 49 1/2 Maple St. Jones was her passenger, police said.
Using a Border Patrol K9, police searched the vehicle and allegedly found 100 grams of crack cocaine and 250 packages containing 25 grams of heroin, police said.
McKenna was issued a traffic ticket for no taillight, police said.
