LISBON -- A Lisbon man was injured in an accident between his pickup truck and a school bus Tuesday.
The bus was carrying six children, one adult passenger and the adult driver, but the driver of the 2006 Dodge pickup truck, Timothy J. Dishaw, 45, Lisbon, was the only person injured in the accident.
The accident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. along County Rt. 28. WWNY-tv reported that parents were notified within about 45 minutes.
He was taken to Claxton-Hepburn Hospital where he was treated for a broken ankle. Dishaw also consented to a blood test to determine his blood alcohol content, which led to his being charged by state police with driving while intoxicated.
Dishaw also faces charges of having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and failure to keep right. He is to appear in Lisbon Town Court on June 17 at 7 p.m.
Troopers said the investigation continues, and that further charges are pending.
