GOUVERNEUR -- Two Gouverneur residents were charged May 4 with possessing drugs that were easily accessible to three children, according to state police.
Ryan C. Hughes, 22, and Jessica L. Reynolds, 34, were arrested at 12:29 a.m. on East Main Street and charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child following a request for a welfare check at the location, officers said.
Both were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and Concerta that were easily accessible by three children who were present, police said.
Both subjects were processed and released upon issuance of appearance tickets returnable to Gouverneur court.
Child protective services were notified, officers said.
