The Points North Housing Coalition seeks participants for its "point-in-time" study to track homelessness in the North Country.
Through the survey, the coalition hopes discover the extent of homelessness in St. Lawrence and surrounding counties, coalition members are provided with the data needed to apply for badly needed "homelessness" related competitive funding.
Last year the data assisted member agencies to bring nearly $1 million dollars to the North Country for housing programs to help homeless individuals and those at risk of becoming homeless.
“In other words, the Point In Time Study is important! Subsequently, we ask any individual meeting the definition of literal or at risk of homelessness (i.e. has during the last year been either couch surfing, constantly needing to relocate because housing is lost, become homeless because of health or disability issues, family disruption, or financial reasons) to take a few moments to participate in an anonymous survey on Jan. 27,” a release from Points North Housing Coalition said.
The survey may be taken online at www.behaviorhealthnet.org.
