POTSDAM -- A high pressure system will shift south today as a low pressure system moves in and brings clouds and a chance of showers for tonight and into Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
Today will be partly sunny with highs in the upper 70s. Showers are likely this evening with lows expected to be in the 60s. The chance of rain is 60 percent, says the service.
Monday will be cloudy with showers likely in the morning and a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. The humidity will climb in the afternoon with temperatures reaching the upper 70s.
The forecast for the week is as follows:
Monday Night: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 50s. Southwest winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.
Tuesday: Partly sunny. Highs in the lower 80s. Light and variable winds.
Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the mid 60s. Chance of rain 30 percent.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs around 80. Chance of rain 40 percent.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the lower 60s. Chance of rain 40 percent.
Thursday: Partly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s.
Thursday Night Through Saturday: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 50s. Highs in the mid 70s.
