Today is the kickoff of the Planned Parenthood of the North Country New York’s Voter Registration Campaign.
Voter registration help will be available at the Canton and Ogdensburg PPNCNY health centers, and at others around the North Country, through Oct. 3.
PPNCNY’s National Voter Registration Campaign is a celebration of the right to vote and of the importance of being registered, according to a press release from the organization.
The campaign is designed to reach many more individuals who could not be reached otherwise and educate more Americans to bring out new voters.
The PPNCNY health center in Canton is at 9 Miner St., and the Ogdensburg center is at 419 Ford St.
The PPNCNY announcement says the organization will be joining other organizations, affiliates, celebrities, volunteers, and young people from across the nation who will be promoting voter registration and helping educate the millions of Americans who aren't familiar with voter registration procedures or deadlines.
