POTSDAM -- Potsdam has lost another Market Street restaurant, but the owners are hoping someone will step up to fill the void.

Plaice 2 Meat celebrated its opening in September of 2016, but recently shuttered.

Owner Tarkik Maatalah said he and his wife Badra Rouhi, both work at other jobs and say they had trouble finding the proper management and time to make the eatery successful.

Maatalah said slow business in the winter months made it tough to recover, when spring arrived. He offered appreciation to those who supported the restaurant and is hoping to find some one interested in taking it over. He said the facility is stocked with “top-notch equipment” and “could be successful for someone with time to management it.”

The eatery offered a Mediterranean menu and later expanded to include western New York favorites garbage plates, poutine, burgers and fries.
