OGDENSBURG – Sisters Camille and Abigail Marshall and their parents, who collected 1,762 pairs of pajamas for needy St. Lawrence County children, have been awarded a laptop computer.

The Information Systems Department (IS) at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center recently thanked the founders of “PJs for Xmas” by donating pajamas and giving the girls a laptop.

They were recognized and honored by the IS Department for their contribution to the under privileged children in the St. Lawrence County area.

In lieu of exchanging Christmas gifts this year, the IS Department opted to provide PJs for the program and to purchase the computer for the two young philanthropists.

Jim Flood, director of IS, recently presented the young ladies with the gift, as well as certificates noting their accomplishment.

Flood commended the girls, noting "Your kindness and generosity in serving the children in our area is remarkable and inspiring! The venture you have undertaken is a wonderful example of service. You truly represent the best of what our younger generation offers, given the unconditional love and support of parents, family, and community."
