HAMMOND – Although they did not collect pajamas this year, “PJs 4 Xmas” donated their remaining stock to local organizations.

“PJs 4 Xmas wants to express our sincere gratitude for continued support of our organization over the last 10 Christmas seasons,” said its organizers, Camille and Abby Marshall of Hammond.

“We did not collect money or pajamas this year. However, we did a great job with distributing out, our stock,: the sisters said in a press release.

Here is a list of where and how many were distributed: St. Lawrence County Children's Home Foster care, 89; Jefferson County Children's Foster Home, 58; Canton Church and Community Christmas program, 339; Hammond Food Pantry Christmas Program, 41; Hammond St. Peter's Altar Giving Tree, 59; Ogdensburg Salvation Army, 141; Lisbon Angel Tree, 71; Heuvelton Giving Tree, 84; Women Infants and Children program, 708 and Potsdam Holiday Fund, 538.

That makes for 2,128 donations this holiday season and a total of 17,135 for the last 10 years.

“We are very teary eyed over that,” the release said. “We were hoping to make it to 17,000.”

Also, $2,500 was given out in scholarship funding over the last ten years and $1,200 was given back to the elementary schools of Ogdensburg for, "When you do good, good comes back to you mission", by us,” the release said

“We want to express my gratitude to all of you for trusting us with our mission. We have had so much fun and have been blessed beyond belief with new friends and family. This isn't goodbye or farewell. We are just on to new adventures. A huge thank you to all the local businesses for putting up with us over the 10 years! Love to all! Jake & Melissa Carroll Durham, Camille & Abby Marshall and all of our volunteers!,” the release said.
