PJs 4 Xmas is starting their eighth Christmas season, placing drop boxes through St. Lawrence County with the goal of collecting 2,000 pairs of pajamas for local children.

Last year the organization collected 2,510 pairs of pajamas, which event organizers say was a record-breaking year. They were able to provide clothing to every child that signed up for the program.

Camille and Abby Marshall of Ogdensburg, who created the organization, said they are hoping to pull in the same amount of donations as last year.

The organization has clothed 10,916 children and collected $43,451.63 since 2009, covering St. Lawrence County, and parts of Jefferson and Franklin counties.

Donation locations in Canton include Coakley Carpet One, North Country Savings Bank, Community Bank, St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union, Triple A, NYS Department of Health, Canton VFW, Corning, Canton Day Care, NYSARC and Fraser Electronics.

Community Bank in Madrid is participating as well.

Donations can be dropped off in Potsdam at both Community Bank locations, Kinney Drugs on Maple Street, North Country Savings Bank, Key Bank, Triple A, Elks Lodge, Verizon Wireless Zone, Canton-Potsdam Hospital radiology department and Foxy Roxy’s.

Drop box locations in Massena include Kinney Drugs, North Country Savings Bank, Community Bank, Key Bank, Maurice’s (St. Lawrence Centre Mall), Twin Rivers Bank, Triple A and the Woodchop Shop.

Locations in Ogdensburg include St. Lawrence Health Alliance, Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center cafeteria, Agarwal Renal Center, Pepsi Cola, Notre Dame Church, St. Maty’s Cathedral, Madill Elementary, Kennedy Elementary, Knights of Columbus, Moose Lodge, Amvets, ARC Bottle Redemption Center Seaway Industries, St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union branches and Dunn Glass Insurance Agency.

Other Ogdensburg locations are OFA junior, senior and superintendents officers; Kinney Drugs, Key Bank, North Country Savings Bank, Walmart, Julie’s Dance Studio, Blevins Auto Group, Mort Backus & Sons, Maurice’s, Verizon Wireless Zone, Family Dollar, United Helpers, Nikki’s Grooming, Salvation Army, Northern Physical Therapy and Green’s Performance.

Locations in Heuvelton include Community Bank and the Amvets. Community Bank in Waddington is also participating.

Gouverneur drop box locations are Community Bank, Kinney Drugs (near Price Chopper), TLC Real Estate and Fidelis Care.
