POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Central School District recently held a "Pink Out" day for Breast Cancer Awareness in honor of fifth grade teacher, Lynn Tharrett.

Lynn was diagnosed recently with multifocal invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. She is currently in Minnesota at the Mayo Clinic recovering from her first surgery. She will have to make several trips back to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota with at least one more major surgery.

The group is holding a spaghetti dinner in her honor on June 15 at the Parishville Fire Hall from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The cost of the dinner is $7 per person. There will also be raffles as well as “Team Tharrett” T-shirts, “Team Tharrett” bracelets, and a barber who will be doing men's haircuts for a donation with all proceeds going to Lynn.

To donate contact Patty Phillips 265-2922; Tessa Fields 244-2544; Sheila Tiernan 322-4770; or Michelle Garrow 353-6783.
