POTSDAM -- The Pelkey family recently took ownership of Chilly Delight.
Tim and Lori Dillon, who recently sold the business, previously owned the self-serve frozen yogurt shop at 12 Main St..
It is now being operated by Duane, Laurean, Emily and Derek Pelkey, who are pictured above.
“We are excited to continue offering the same great self-serve soft-serve frozen yogurt and ice cream,” Laurean Pelkey, who will act as the store’s general manager, said in a news release announcing the change in ownership.
She and Duane Pelkey both have a background in food service and “feel it will be a great experience for their kids,” the release says.
“I like the self-serve idea. With a variety of flavors and toppings including fresh fruits prepared by Laurean daily, a person can make countless delicious combinations with minimal wait times,” the release reads.
Their Facebook page is at www.facebook.com/chillydelight. The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce is planning a ribbon-cutting in the future.
