STAR LAKE -- An Oswegatchie man was hit by a vehicle Saturday at 2:50 p.m. while he was exiting a convenience store.
William Frawley, 85, of Oswegatchie, struck Emerson A. Northrup, 30, also of Oswegatchie with his truck when he crashed into the store.
Troopers say Frawley was attempting to drive his van from the gas pumps to a parking space in front of the store. Frawley attempted to stop but struck the store's door and Northrup who was walking out of the door.
Northrup was transported to the Clifton-Fine hospital by Star Lake Rescue.
Northrup was treated and released for minor abrasions on his left arm.
There was damage to the door and frame of the store.
Frawley was ticketed for driving on a sidewalk.
