CANTON -- A pedestrian was stuck in a hit and run accident in Canton on Thursday.
A male pedestrian was walking on the sidewalk and was crossing the driveway between the liquor store and 35 Riverside Drive when he was struck by a blue minivan, according to Canton Police.
The pedestrian was able to stay on his feet as the van pushed him out onto Riverside Drive before coming to a stop, police said.
The van then left the scene. Canton Rescue evaluated the pedestrian and he signed off. Canton Police interviewed several witnesses and Debra Martin of 11 Jameson Road, Lot# 12, police said.
She was later charged with for failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, police said.
Martin is to answer the charge in Canton Town Court on Sept. 6, police said.
