OGDENSBURG -- The Ogdensburg Area Zonta Club sponsored a “Free the Girls 5k Walk/Run” on the Maple City Trail in Ogdensburg.
The event was a bra drive in which participants wore a bra on the outside of their clothing during the race and deposited it into a box at the end of the race.
By donating a bra, one can give a woman rescued from sex trafficking a job. Women can make a living selling used clothing while they recover and build their new life.
