OGDENSBURG – Warmer weather, rain and melting snow have forced the city to close part of the Maple City Trail.
City officials said a section of the trail from the Lake Street Pedestrian Bridge to the Pump House is closed until further notice due to flooding.
The city is closing the trail to all traffic in the area along the Oswegatchie River until the area is found safe for use again.
This part of the trail lays low along the river and is found downhill from, and follows along Crescent Street.
Several other towns throughout the county have also reported flooding. Officials have even closed some roads due to high water.
A hazardous weather outlook has been posted by the National Weather Service through Wednesday.
