PARISHVILLE -- The Parishville Park has new outdoor sporting equipment available for free public use. The new equipment includes four pair of snowshoes and about 45 pairs of ice skates in all sizes that can be used for the outdoor ice rink.
The park has several trails that could be used for snowshoeing.
The outdoor equipment was received from the Health Initiative's Creating Healthy Places St. Lawrence County Project, a grant funded by New York State Department of Health.
The remaining money from the grant was used to purchase a rink liner, which has greatly improved the outdoor ice conditions.
Also additional lighting was purchased with grant money provided by Brookfield Power.
The park is open daily from 1 to 8 p.m.
