PARISHVILLE -- Parishville Volunteer Rescue Squad members expressed gratitude for the generosity of Parishville resident Shirley Haynes, who recently donated several handmade quilts to the squad to use as a comfort to young patients being transported in their ambulance.
She made the gift in the name of her four-year old German shepherd therapy dog, Cash.
Haynes said Cash recently passed all the test requirements and received the AKC’s Good Citizenship Award.
Cash and Shirley have visited patients in hospitals and nursing homes in our area as a therapy dog.
