NORTH LAWRENCE – A Parishville man was sent to the hospital and later jailed stemming from an alleged bar fight with a Winthrop man at the Jug Tavern, State Highway 11C, during the early hours of Jan. 18, according to Massena-based state police.
Branden S. Arquiett, 25, Parishville, was charged Thursday at 175 Chapel Hill Rd. at 3:15 p.m. with second-degree assault, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use, officers said.
Arquiett allegedly threw a beer bottle at Isiah J. Brothers, 28 Winthrop, striking him and causing injury to his face and teeth.
Brothers then reportedly attacked Arquiett and repeatedly struck him in the head and face causing multiple soft tissue injuries.
Brothers was charged at the state police station in Massena with third-degree assault and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Lawrence Court on Feb. 4 at 7 p.m.
Arquiett was transported by rescue to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for treatment, police said.
Arquiett was arraigned at Town of Norfolk Court and sent to St. Lawrence County Jail without bail, troopers said.
