PARISHVILLE -- A Parishville man died Friday afternoon in a logging accident on Ashton Road in Parishville.
St. Lawrence County Coroner June Wood said a man in his 70s died after a tree limb struck him, but the injury did not kill him. Wood said when the limb hit him "the stress of the logging accident did cause him to have a heart attack which killed him."
Wood said she ruled the death an accident.
St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies were on the scene within about three minutes of receiving the call at 4:39 p.m.
The sheriff's detectives have not yet released the man's name.
