Parishville man charged with possession of child porn on federal warrant following search

PARISHVILLE -- A Parishville man was charged with possession of child porn Friday.

Bradford L. Barber, Jr., 40, was arrested on a federal warrant for possessing an obscene sexual performance of a child, according to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

A search warrant was executed at Barber’s residence Oct. 23, deputies said.

The search warrant followed an undercover internet investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, Potsdam Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations as part of Operation Northern Net. The operation targets online child predators, according to deputies.

The investigation included interviews and electronic evidence examined by a forensics lab, deputies said.

Barber was arraigned in the Northern District of New York in Plattsburgh and was held pending further court proceedings, deputies said.
