PARISHVILLE -- A town resident is facing drunk driving charges after he flipped his vehicle, broke a utility pole and injured himself, troopers said.
Logan R. DeCarr, 20, is charged with driving while intoxicated, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, no seatbelt, moving from lane unsafely and operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device, troopers said.
He was driving a 2002 Toyota Corolla while drunk on White Hill Road, troopers said, when he exited the south shoulder. He then hit a Verizon utility pole, which flung him into a boulder, causing the vehicle to flip and come to rest on its roof, troopers said.
He was treated at Canton-Potsdam Hospital for injuries to his arms. He was later arrested and charged with DWI, troopers said.
Further charges pending results of the blood test, according to troopers.
DeCarr is to answer the charges in Parishville Town Court on Oct. 21 at 7 p.m.
