PARISHVILLE -- A Parishville man who was found unconscious following a personal-injury accident was charged with driving while intoxicated Wednesday evening, according to state police.

State police said they responded to a report of an unresponsive male in a vehicle off the roadway on Sylvan Falls Road around 8:40 p.m.

Police said Sean P. Dunning, 49, was operating a 2006 Jeep Cherokee Laredo when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a snow bank causing damage to his SUV.

Parishville Rescue Squad were reportedly on scene prior to troopers and transported Dunning to Canton-Potsdam Hospital. He was transported due to his unconscious state, troopers said.

Although he sustained no visible injuries, Dunning reported neck pain, officers said.

Troopers reportedly found a bottle of Barton Vodka 80 proof inside Dunning's vehicle. He voluntarily submitted to a blood test to determine his blood alcohol content. Test results pending are pending.

Police said they charged Dunning, 49, with first-offense DWI, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle, speeding and failure to notify the DMV of an address change.

All tickets are returnable to Hopkinton Town Court March 4 at 7 p.m., officers said.
