PARISHVILLE -- A Parishville man was charged with driving while intoxicated shortly after midnight Tuesday after his vehicle struck and utility pole and overturned off White Hill Road, according to state police.
Logan R. DeCarr, 20, was charged with first-offense DWI, circumvent interlock: operating without device, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on the highway, a seatbelt violation and moving from lane unsafely, troopers said.
DeCarr was operating a 2002 Toyota Corolla when he exited the south shoulder of the roadway, striking a utility pole owned by Verizon. DeCarr’s vehicle then struck a boulder, and flipped, coming to rest on its roof, police said.
DeCarr consented to a blood test at the hospital to determine his blood alcohol content and further charges are pending the results of the test, troopers said.
DeCarr was released on appearance tickets returnable to court at a later date, police said.
