GOUVERNEUR — Two Gouverneur men were charged with possession of prison contraband Aug. 23 stemming from an incident at the Gouverneur Correctional Facility, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Hakiem Brock, 30, was charged with first-degree possession of prison contraband and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies, at 10:27 a.m. at the state police station, 1005 U.S. Highway 11.
Lloyd Melvin, 29, was charged with with first-degree possession of prison contraband and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies, at 10:05 a.m. at the state police station, 1005 U.S. Highway 11.
The incident was reported June 13.
Both men were listed as held following their arrests.
