POTSDAM -- Interventional pain management specialist Dr. Lukasz Chebes has joined the medical staff of St. Lawrence Health System’s Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Chebes earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Columbus, Ohio. He completed his anesthesiology residency and pain medicine fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is board-certified in both anesthesiology and pain medicine.

His treatment goals are relieving pain, restoring function, and improving quality of life.

“Being able to provide my patients with pain relief so they may lead fuller lives is tremendously rewarding,” Chebes said in a prepared statement from SLHS.

Chebes treats patients suffering from acute, subacute, and chronic pain, including painful conditions of the spine and peripheral joints. His comprehensive approach includes both conservative measures and minimally-invasive interventional procedures, and aims to reduce reliance on medications and more invasive surgical options.
