Congressman Bill Owens will hold a telephone town hall tonight to take questions from callers from 7:25 p.m. to 8:25 p.m.

“I am pleased to provide a forum to update constituents on my efforts to create jobs and help small businesses in the region. This is a great opportunity for New Yorkers to ask me questions, share what is on their mind, or just listen to the conversation,” said Owens.

A random sample of residents in New York’s 23rd Congressional District have been chosen to participate in the conference call Tuesday evening.

Constituents may request a phone call invitation to these telephone town halls. A constituent from New York’s 23rd Congressional District can sign up by emailing name and phone number to ny23townhall@mail.house.gov; calling Owens’ Washington office at 202-225-4611; or filling out the form at http://owens.house.gov/Contact/TeletownHall.htm.

The idea behind the telephone town halls is to offer a convenient way for constituents in the far-flung areas of the district to stay up to date on the issues of the day.

The district spans 14,000 square miles and encompasses all or part of 11 counties in Northern and Central New York.

Those unable to participate in Tuesday’s telephone town hall can contact Owens by calling any of his offices in New York or Washington, visiting http://owens.house.gov, on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/repbillowens, or on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/BillOwensNY.
