In early April, Blair Madore of Potsdam organized an Adirondack Mountain Club/Laurentian Chapter walking tour of several of the waterfalls on the South Branch of the Grasse River.
Basford, Sinclair, Twin, and Rainbow Falls are each located beside the road or at the end of short trails.
Blair divided the group so that while he led half the people, John Barron of Ottawa and Marianne Hebert of Potsdam took the other half to the falls in a different order.
Participants came from all over the North Country.
The public is welcome on outings.
