WADDINGTON – Over 800 anglers competed in heavy snow Saturday at the sixth annual Northern Pike Challenge.
It appears that the heaviest fish was one of the first brought to the weigh-in. Scott Caster secured first place in the 7 to 8 a.m. hourly contest with a 17 lb 3 oz. fish that nobody came close to matching during the rest of the day.
Here are the hourly weigh-in winners:
• 7-8 a.m.: 1st Scott Caster, 17 lbs. 3 oz.; 2nd Shawn Lear, 10 lbs. 9 oz.; 3rd Casey Casamento, 8 lbs. 11 oz.
• 8-9 a.m.: 1st Jason Horan, 10 lbs. 11 oz.; 2nd Bob Nappie, 10 lbs. 9 oz.; 3rd Avery Aaron, 8 lbs. 9 oz.
• 9-10 a.m.: 1st Lyndon Sutliff. 9 lbs. 2 oz.; 2nd Tim Tibbles, 9 lbs. 1 oz.; 3rd Steve Sweeney, 8 lbs. 4 oz.
• 10-11 a.m: 1st Matt Gilmour, 8 lbs. 3 oz.; 2nd Tom Demo, 8 lbs. 2 oz.; 3rd Steve Lanning, 8 lbs. 1 oz.
• 11 a.m.-noon: 1st Brad Brothers, 11 lbs. 5 oz.; 2nd Frank McCormick, 10 lbs. 10 oz.; 3rd Dennis Huddon, 8 lbs. 5 oz.
• noon-1 p.m.: 1st Kathy Frank, 10 lbs. 5 oz.; 2nd Jason Ferrick, 8 lbs. 13 oz.; 3rd Donald Jones, 8 lbs. 6 oz.
• 1-2 p.m.: 1st Paul Martin, 9 lbs. 14 oz.; 2nd Cody Young, 9 lbs. 10 oz.; 3rd Brent Cook, 9 lbs. 3 oz.
• 2-3 p.m.: 1st Mike Michaud, 7 lbs. 14 oz.; 2nd Terri Durgan, Sr., 7 lbs. 13 oz.; 3rd Ed Barr, 7 lbs. 11 oz.
