NORWOOD -- Over 40 Norwood-Norfolk K-Kids gave a report at their sponsoring Norwood Kiwanis Club meeting March 2 at the Lobster House, 95 South Main St.

The youth officers gave a report of all the good things they have been doing to help their school and community, according to Patti Dean.

The kids have made cards for wounded soldiers and had several days where for a $1 donation students could wear hats, pajamas, mismatched clothes and even mustaches.

Donations days have gone towards the Ronald McDonald house, epilepsy, autism, and more.

They have made cards for the bus drivers, maintenance staff, and cafeteria staff to thank them for being so helpful, said Dean.

The NNCS K-Kids are looking forward to a field trip to the Potsdam Animal shelter later in the year.

The group is led by Carrie French, elementary school counselor and Norwood Kiwanian Lee Mittlesteadt. The kids enjoyed a nice dinner out with their sponsoring club and played bingo, Dean said.
