CANTON - Over 170 racers ran and walked the “RUN4BOSTON” 4K race at St. Lawrence University to raise money for “The One Fund-Boston.”
The event was co-sponsored by the St. Lawrence University Cross Country and Track & Field Program, the Center for Civic Engagement and the Canton Women’s Running Group.
Racers of all age groups lined up to help raise money for the victims and families of the horrific Boston Marathon Bombings on April 18. Many ran, walked and even pushed their children in strollers.
According to race officials, Spencer Patterson of Saratoga Springs, a first year cross-country athlete at St. Lawrence University had the fastest time of 14:57.
