FINE -- An Oswegatchie man was charged on Monday with attempting to burglarize Adirondack Pharmacy on June 25.
Trevor E. Johnson, 24, is charged with third-degree burglary, a felony, troopers said.
Around 1:43 a.m. June 25, troopers say they responded to Adirondack Pharmacy, 4057 State Rte. 3, for a burglar alarm activation.
Police say a perimeter check turned up no signs of entry or footprints.
While awaiting for a keyholder to show up, police noticed a black 2009 Nissan traveling west in front of the pharmacy. Troopers say they pulled the vehicle over and the driver identified himself as Johnson. He later admitted that he tried to break into the building, troopers said.
A pharmacy employee confirmed no one entered the building and nothing was stolen, troopers said.
Johnson was charged at 8:42 a.m. Monday, arraigned in court and released under probationary supervision, troopers said.
