STOCKHOLM – A 56-year-old woman was charged with criminal possession of marijuana as part of “Operation Problem Child,” according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Cynthia M. Francis, Norwood, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana after drug task force members executed a federal search warrant on her home Friday morning.
A sheriff’s K-9 drug sniffing dog located the marijuana inside a safe.
Francis was charged and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Stockholm Town Court Oct. 16 at 6 p.m.
Deputies, Massena Police officers and Department of Homeland Security Agents assisted St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force members.
Deputies said the search was an extension of the Operation Problem Child investigation, which has led to charges of more than a dozen people.
