GOUVERNEUR -- Pepsi has been giving away grants all year to some very worthy causes, and during November, the Gouverneur Business Women’s Breast Cancer Walk Fund is in the running for a $25,000 grant from Pepsi in an online contest measuring community support.
People are being asked to visit www.refresheverything.com/gouverneurbreastcancerwalk and register to vote by clicking on the “Vote for This Idea” button. Once you are registered you can vote every day.
You can text in your vote if you prefer. The instructions are on the same web page and you don't need to register to vote that way.
“If we are one of the 10 chosen in our grant level, it would really go a long way in helping to continue the fight against Breast Cancer here in the North Country,” said Terry Pistolesi, who is spreading the word about the contest.
“I know we are all busy, and after the first few minutes of registering it only takes a minute a day through the end of the month,” she said.
