BRASHER -- A GoFundMe site seeks to raise funds for a St. Lawrence Central middle school student who has to undergo open heart surgery.
Colby Phillips, 10, was born with cerebral palsy and has dealt with medical issues his entire life, according to information on the GoFundMe page.
So far, $775 has been raised toward the goal of $2,500.
Phillips's mother is single, raising four children. The money would be used for travel expenses during the boy's road to recovery, the statement says.
