Online fund opened for Ogdensburg man in induced coma in Syracuse hospital after collapsing Easter morning

OGDENSBURG -- A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help pay for medical and travel expense for a family after an Ogdensburg man collapsed Easter morning and was flown to Syracuse where he was placed in a medically induced coma.

Greg Robb is now recovering at St. Joseph’s ICU in Syracuse. He has since came out of the coma and appears to be recovering well. Updates on Robb’s condition are being posted by his father Richard Robb at https://www.facebook.com/richard.robb.311?fref=ts

To help offset medical and travel costs accumulating from the ordeal friends and co-workers have established a GoFundMe page where people can donate to the family.

So far $7,736 has been raised toward the goal of $10,000. To donate, visit https://www.gofundme.com/xrw2t3m4.

A statement on the Gofundme page reads:

“The length of his stay at St Joseph’s is undetermined while he is treated for his symptoms and a diagnosis is determined. With each passing day, the medical expenses for his hospitalization will continue to add up, and the financial burden of travel and accommodations for his wife and immediate family will continue to grow. We would humbly ask for donations of any size toward Greg’s medical bills. As a community, hopefully we can help with the financial stress caused by such an awful tragedy. Contributions will also help with things like family travel and meals, so that his family can be by his side. Please take a few minutes and help a great family and friend, and please feel free to share with your friends, family, colleagues.”
