OGDENSBURG -- The Northern New York Community Foundation’s Board of Directors approved a $25,000 grant Tuesday to support the Richard E. Winter Cancer Center capital campaign.
The drive is centered on buying a linear accelerator and adding more space.
“Both this project and the center have demonstrated how critical they are to the citizens of Ogdensburg and the entire region … we are very pleased to be a partner in this meaningful endeavor,” said Rande S. Richardson, the foundation’s executive director.
Other St. Lawrence County grants approved by the board include:
• Volunteer Transportation Center - $5,000
To help launch the expansion of transportation services in St. Lawrence County
• St. Lawrence University - $5,000
Web development support for the “Nature Up North” project. This is made possible, in part, through the Peter Van de Water Fund for St. Lawrence County.
