OGDENSBURG -- During National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, staff at Salon 1020 sold pink hair extensions.

The extensions were offered in their salon and at a variety of events, including the Medical Center’s Pink Ribbon Walk.

Profits from the hair extensions were donated to Claxton-Hepburn’s Richard E. Winter Cancer Center. Shown accepting the check from Salon 1020 owner, Jill O’Brien, is Kay Zimmer, social worker and patient navigator at the Cancer Center.
