How To Shop At A Farm Market:

• arrive early before everything’s been picked over or sold out.

• walk around: selections change each week depending on what’s in season.

• ask questions: everyone around you cares about fresh and nutritious food in a big way and are happy to talk about how to grow it and how to cook it.

• touch, feel, and smell: generally the best vegetables feel heavier and don’t have bruises. • pick it up: smell how fresh it is. Everyone understands about the touch/smelling rule.

• bring plenty of bills: small bills are best. Generally a farm market is a cash business.

• bring bags: not really necessary, but it shows your eco support.
