OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Auxiliary is offering six $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors planning on entering the healthcare field.
Three will go to graduating children or grandchildren of a Claxton-Hepburn employee or auxilian.
Three will be awarded to a graduating senior, regardless of familial connection to CHMC, in the Ogdensburg, Lisbon, Heuvelton, Morristown, Madrid-Waddington and Hammond school districts.
To be selected, students must:
• have an overall average of 80 or above.
• have written letter of application for the scholarship explaining why they feel they are qualified to receive this scholarship.
• complete the application form for the scholarship
• have one written letter of recommendation from a teacher, administrator or guidance director.
• attach transcript of grades.
Applications must be postmarked by March 25.
