Ogdensburg’s Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center hires new general surgeon

OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center recently hired a new general surgeon. Dr. Noah Zuker, a general surgeon, joined the practice of Dr. Chris Brandy and Dr. Kiri Brandy, both surgeons at Claxton-Hepburn, located at 3 Lyon Place, Suite 200, Ogdensburg.

No referral is need for an appointment and scheduling can be completed by calling 393-2611.

Dr. Zuker comes to Claxton-Hepburn from the Institut Mutaliste Montsouris, Paris France, where he completed a fellowship in complex laparoscopy.

Dr. Zuker received his medical degree from Ben Gurion University of the Negev – Be’er Sheva, Israel’s Medical School for International Health.

Dr. Zuker completed an internship in general surgery at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center of Queens, New York, and a general surgery residency at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

During his training, Dr. Zuker earned many academic awards and participated in several research publications.

Dr. Zuker is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Canadian Association of General Surgeons.

When asked what Dr. Zuker hopes to bring to Claxton-Hepburn, he stated, “I hope to provide high quality community general surgery service to the unique, underserved and beautiful county of St. Lawrence in New York State.”

Dr. Zuker resides in Canton with his family. His interests include sailing, hiking, art and music.
