OGDENSBURG -- City police have charged a woman with six burglaries they say took place between Dec. 7 and Jan. 3.
Police said they arrested her following a Tuesday report that someone had burglarized a Belmont Courts residence. They found her nearby, along with some stolen property, investigators allege.
She was arraigned by Ogdensburg Justice William Small and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond, police said.
Police allege she is responsible for the following incidents:
• On Dec. 7 at 9:45 p.m., patrols responded to a report that a subject had unlawfully entered their residence at 126 Belmont Courts and stole property.
• On Dec. 10 at 8:42 p.m., patrols responded to a report that someone had unlawfully entered their residence located at 126 Belmont Courts, but nothing was reportedly taken.
• On Dec. 12 at 9:44 p.m., patrols responded to a report that someone had unlawfully entered their apartment located at 126 Belmont Courts. The complainant reported that they confronted Planty and she left after a brief exchange of words. Nothing was reported taken during this incident, police said.
• On Dec. 25 at 8:22 a.m., Patrols responded to a report that someone had unlawfully entered their residence located at 205 Linden Lane and stole property.
• On Dec. 29 at 8:27 p.m., patrols responded to a report that someone had unlawfully entered their residence at 147 Belmont Courts through an unlocked window and stole property.
• On Jan. 3 at 4:35 a.m., patrols responded to 147 Belmont Courts for a report that someone had unlawfully entered their residence through an unlocked window and stole property. Police say they found Planty next door at 148 Belmont Courts along with some of the property reported stolen and arrested her.
