OGDENSBURG -- As the Ogdensburg Seaway Festival Parade draws near, Ogdensburg residents are being warned that they cannot reserve space on city-owned property prior to the event.
The parade will be held July 25.
City property is not allowed to be reserved for any function. Residents will no longer be allowed to place chairs, fencing or vehicles along city-owned property prior to the day of any celebration.
City staff will remove any such items from city-owned property up to 5 p.m. the Friday before the Seaway Festival Parade.
Property removed will be temporarily stored and disposed of if not claimed within 14 days of the parade date.
This allows city staff to maintain the property safely without obstructions.
Residents will be allowed to use the city-owned properties on a first come-first served basis.
