OGDENSBURG -- The Walmart Foundation, through store #2092 in Ogdensburg, recently donated $1,000 for educational programming at the Frederic Remington Art Museum. The museum used the money for its 2012 educational fundraiser.
“Walmart has been very generous over the years,” said LaVarnway. “We are thrilled they have continued to support our educational programming.”
In addition to distance learning programs, the museum provides kid-friendly classes and projects at Kid’s Place and ongoing lectures and tours at the 1810 Parish Mansion.
The Frederic Remington Art Museum is located at 303 Washington Street, and is dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, preserving and interpreting the art and archives of Frederic Remington, and contains a collection of his works.
Pictured here, Ed LaVarnway and Debbie Ormasen of the museum and Katie Hamilton and Jean Justice of Walmart display the check.
