WADDINGTON -- Waddington’s water is safe to drink again thanks to the public works employees from the village, town and Ogdensburg.

A boil water advisory was issued after two water main breaks occurred Wednesday.

"How do I say thank you to so many people? Chris and Jeff from the Village, Bob Dalton and his crew from the Town, the summer help from both the Town and Village, Shawn from the DOT, Ernie from the DOT and then the crew from the City of Ogdensburg, Ben Soban, Bert Compo, Jerimiah Evans, Joe Brenno and Scott Thornhill the City boss,” Mayor Janet Otto-Cassada said.

“How does a small Village like us ever say thank you enough to our big city brothers? Thank you. As our crew said without you it would have taken days not hours. So we the Village of Waddington thank you all very much."

The breaks occurred in the village near Route 345 and Route 37 and near the bowling court.
