OGDENSBURG – The termination of one Ogdensburg City School District employee and the suspension of another were approved by the Board of Education at Monday’s meeting.
The board approved the termination of laborer Mychael Kendall.
The board also approved that disciplinary charges be brought against an employee named in a confidential attachment and appointed Alfred Riccio as the hearing officer with respect to those charges, pursuant to Section 75 of New York State Civil Service Law.
The employee named in the confidential attachment will also face a 30-day suspension without pay, as approved by the board.
Before addressing the agenda items regarding district personnel, the board went to executive session for the purposes of discussing matters related to contract and personnel.
An employee medical leave of absence and the appointment of two part-time, on-call laborers were also approved at the meeting.
The next Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 28 at 6 p.m.
