OGDENSBURG -- The Ogdensburg City School District Board of Education approved a number of personnel actions at a meeting on Wednesday, May 17.
Matthew Snyder was appointed elementary teacher at a salary of $46,894 effective in September.
The board also approved the resignation of secondary English teacher Matthew Denner, Jr.
The retirement of long-time teaching assistant Sandra Irvine at the conclusion of the 2017-18 school year was also accepted by the board.
Many positions relating to the district’s summer programs for elementary and special education were also approved for appointment at the meeting.
Numerous teachers as well as a librarian and speech therapist for the summer programs were appointed at salaries of $110 per day. Various teaching assistants will also be paid between $10 and $17 per hour during the summer programs.
